On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of its founding (1872 – 2022), the Revoltella Museum is organizing an exhibition dedicated to sculpture which includes around two hundred pieces.
The Revoltella Museum’s sculpture collection is characterized by a wide variety of works and extends in time from the early nineteenth century, starting from the important plaster sketch by Antonio Canova, the greatest exponent of Neoclassicism in sculpture, up to 2003 with the assemblage created by Daniel Spoerri, one of the founders of the Nuoveau Réalisme movement.
The exhibition itinerary, which will wind from the atrium of Palazzo Brunner to the sixth floor of the Modern Art Gallery, is divided into six main thematic focal points that offer an incredible journey into the world of sculpture: an appreciation for the incredible masterpieces of the recent past and of modernity. A must-go exhibition for art and culture lovers.
