Open wineries and vineyards 2023: the Wine Tourism Movement celebrates its 30th anniversary

Tastings and events not to be missed for lovers of food and wine tourism

The“Movimento Turismo del Vino FVG”is a regional partner of the non-profit association “Movimento Turismo del Vino”, founded in 1993 with the aim of joining forces that contribute to the enhancement of the small but great natural things that exist around us.

The association of Friuli-Venezia Giulia counts more than 80 of the most prestigious wineries in the region, selected on the basis of specific requirements, first of all the quality of the wine tourism hospitality. The association’s motto, “See what you’re drinking”, has been adopted by the wineries of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. All year round, they welcome visitors, offer tastings and sell their wines, making available information to help guests discover the local territory.

This year Movimento Turismo del Vino celebrates its 30th anniversary: it is therefore a year that even more than the previous ones celebrates the history and the numerous successes obtained by this association and its path based on the link between producers and wine lovers. A continuous search for contact and comparison that sees as precious and suggestive protagonists the vineyards and cellars that characterize Italy, the so-called Bel Paese (“beautiful land”).

We suggest below the two most-known events.

Vigneti Aperti was born from the desire to live an experience around Italian wine, surrounded by the vineyards, to discover the treasures of the many territories of the peninsula in a kind of journey characterized by the unmistakable hospitality of the MTV member wineries.

Many activities are scheduled every weekend from March to October: tastings, sensory workshops, bike tours, horse-riding excursions, picnics and sunset dinners.

In Friuli-Venezia Giulia there are 12 wineries ready to welcome wine lovers.
