Moet e gli Impressionisti in Normandia

At the Revoltella Museum in Trieste comes an exceptional corpus of over 70 works that tells the impressionist movement and its close ties with Normandy.

On the stage of this land, painters such as Monet, Renoir, Delacroix and Courbet - on display along with many others - capture the immediacy and vitality of the landscape imprinting on the canvas the moods of the sky, the glitter of the water and the verdant valleys of Normandy, cradle of Impressionism.

The exhibition focuses mainly on the heritage of the Peindre en Normandie Collection - one of the most representative collections of the Impressionist period - flanked by loans from the Musée Marmottan Monet in Paris, the Belvedere in Vienna, from the Musée Eugène-Boudin in Honfleur and private collections.
