FAI Spring Days returns this year with the exceptional opening of more than 750 inaccessible or little-known places in 400 cities on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 March 2023.
The flagship event of FAI (the Italian national trust fund), now in its 31st edition, offers the opportunity to discover and rediscover surprising treasures of art and nature throughout Italy, participating in the free contribution visits proposed by the FAI volunteers.
It is a weekend entirely dedicated to the heritage of Italian history, art and nature and aimed at enhancing the extraordinary wealth of the beautiful country that continues to amaze.
The protagonists of the FAI Spring Days are previously unknown sites (such as villas, churches, historic palaces, castles, museums, artisan workshops and much more) and landscapes, whose importance in terms of culture, history and traditions, sometimes hidden or unconventional, “tells the identity of the most beautiful country in the world” (source FAI).
All these places will be open on March 25-26. There will also be itineraries in the villages and visits to natural areas, in light of the commitment of the FAI for the dissemination of a wider “culture of nature“.
Trieste also adheres to the FAI Spring Days, promoting free admission to the following museums:
