“David LaChapelle: Lightning” – Photographic exhibition at the Salone degli Incanti

With more than 90 important works by the American photographer on display, the exhibition “David LaChapelle: Lightning” offers visitors an experience of total immersion in the work of David LaChapelle, one of the most influential and inspiring artists on the world art scene.

In the exhibition itinerary, the activities of nature, man, chaos and paradise illuminate like lightning: the imagination of LaChapelle captures the drama of the moment in images such as a majestic cruise ship recomposed in the forms of a glacier, a threatening flood over Las Vegas and biblical stories, which are materialized in contemporary visions. The exhibition “Lightning” also includes more intimate scenes of landscapes populated by angels, saints, flowers and mythological figures, which the photographer often animates by hand painting on negatives.

An experience of profound transfiguration to discover the reflection that LaChapelle makes on the human soul in and against nature.
